NEW! Let’s Get Cray Cray! Adult & Child Drawing w/Abby Rovaldi For Ages 5+

This 1-day workshop is held in-person at the Attleboro Arts Museum on Wed, February 1st from 4-5:30pm for adult & child pairs ages 5+.

Create a colorful family masterpiece using Cray-Pas oil pastels inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s renowned “Starry Night” painting. Find a muse right outside your window, just as van Gogh did, and think about the emotions you feel when you look at the sky. Sometimes the sun is shining, and we feel happy or when it rains, we feel sad. As a family explore lively line making, vibrant color combinations and experimental blending to make a personal big sky drawing. If the skies could talk, they would say what a team effort! Cray on!

Workshop costs include materials & tuition for one adult and one child. Enrollments can only be in pairs (one adult & one child), thank you for your cooperation. Please enter your "extra participant name" at check out.

*What are oil pastels you ask? Oil pastels are small crayon-esque sticks that have a creamy, wax-like consistency. Oil pastels come in a variety of intense hues that don’t dry out completely. Like oil painting, oil pastels can be blended with household materials such as makeup sponges & tissues and thinned with baby oil and cotton swabs to produce different artful effects. Oil pastels can also be applied very thickly and then carved into to reveal unique patterns and color underneath. Oil pastels are dense, fill the grain of the paper nicely and do not require a fixative.
